Something New is Taking Root

I have a habit of bringing things home that probably didn't need t o come home with me.

A little vintage dish from the thrift store. A tiny crock with the perfect amount of wear. A vessel I have absolutely no use for but couldn't possibly leave it behind.

And then there are plants.

If you know me, you know there are always plants growing somewhere in my home - and usually a few cuttings propagating right along side them.

And somewhere along the way, those two things combined.

What if the old vessels I'n always drawn to could have another purpose? What if the plants I'm constantly propagating could fine homes in them? And what if I could turn this little combination of things I already love into something more?

So... I'm starting a little something.

The Second Season

The idea Is pretty simple: rooted plants, found vessels, and stories of second chances

I'll be pairing plants I've grown and propagated with thrifted, vintaage, and found vessels - pieces that already had a life before they found their way to me. Instead of another brand-new pot, I love the idea of giving something forgotten a new purpose and letting a plant grown into its next chapter there.

And bceause apparently I cannot just have a casual idea without tuning it into a whole project, I've already been dreaming up names, collecting vessels, propagating plants, designing a logo, creating an Instagram, and imagining what this could eventually become.

Is it completely figured out yet? Absolutely not.

But I think that might be my favorite part.

I want to let this one grow slowly. I want to experiment. Find beautiful little things. Get my hands dirty Figure out what works and what doesn't. And share some of that process here as I go.

Maybe The Second Season becomes a little plant shop. Maybe it grows into markets and pop-ups and shelves full of one-of-a -kind pieces. Maybe it takes me somewhere I haven't even thought of yet.

For now, though, it's starting with a few plants, a few old vessels, and an idea I can't seem to stop thinking about.

And honestly? That feels like a pretty good place to begin..
